Lonely Planet says:

Mango
Guesthouse
"A jungle lodge in the
big city."
No reason to abandon the Amazonian jungle trip theme while in Manaus, so
why not trek on over to Mango Guesthouse? While Manaus is awash with box
hotels, Mango is its only nice guesthouse, and is a sure pleasure.
It took a while, but finally someone constructed a genuine pousada
geared toward ecological tourism, and how sweet it is! A few giant mango
trees shade the property, where each part of the pousada stands alone.
The reception desk/bar (always a good combination) is in a thatched-roof
kiosk, as is an open-air lounge room. Covered cement walkways lined with
short shrubs connect these to a single-storey wooden building housing
the breakfast room and restaurant, as well as two wings of rooms. While
the rooms are admittedly a bit cement-block sterile, attractive
hand-painted murals, printed cotton sheets and good towels do a lot to
soften them up. The pool is small but good for a dip, and there is no
shortage of hang-out space.
